Ok, total noob question to most of you I am sure. I've flirted with the MS phones in the past, the C500 certainly being the best of the lot. I now have a C550 as my work phone, so I am 'stuck' with this for a year, like it or not.

Last night I transferred a 10MB video file, from my k750i. Once the file had finished transfering, I was aked if I wanted to store it to my phone. Ideally I want it on the memory card, but as that was not an option I chose yes, with the intention of moving it over. But where is the file stored to? I can't find it anywhere.

If anyone can point me on where to find the file I would appreciate it.

Check in Storage\My Documents

Nothing there, so I can only presume it didn't save. Very weird as the memory status of the phone shows it is around somewhere. Thanks anyhow.

Awarner is right ,if the file is transfered to the phone u should find it there ,also u could try in Storage>Application Data>Volatile .

When i transfered a video to my phone via BT i had the same problem but i have an SPV C500 and i checked in the PV player and it was there. i am not sure if the SPV C550 has a Pv player on it but if it does check there cos thats where mine went.

Good Luck

I've had this problem quite a few times with my c500, I remember reading somewhere when the problem was first discovered that any file over about 500Kb would simply disappear after saving, and as of yet i've heard no solution to this.

I had hoped this would have been resolved in the c550 but obviously not. Try testing with a small file (<500Kb) a picture or something and it should save to storage\My Documents if its there it would seem it is the same problem, if not then it may be something else.
