Guest XPClone Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 When I view videos on the SPV, I can hear the audio OK, but the video skips and jumps all the time. This happens with my own vids, and the 2 of the Chemical brothers Orange give you when you buy the phone! Anyone else had this problem?? Also, I heard that you can use an MP3 as ringtone for the SPV - but I can't do it. Is it just wav files.
Guest youngerpants Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 On a PC, video can skip for lots of reasons; not very much available memory, codec, poor graphics card, poor processor, etc As the SPV has all these issues, I would say that would be the problem ;) ...dont worry, its not only you, but if you want to limit the jumping, encode your own videos acording to the sticky subject, converting video in 18 easy steps also, I've noticed that you get less jumping (improved frame rate) on videos without sound as less memory is being used... now what kind of video could you watch where sound is unimportant (ahem)
Guest XPClone Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 How can I fix this then? Is it just wav files that can be used as ringtones? Thanks for your help.
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 Yes, try a search and you'll probably come up with some past suggestions for converters
Guest amo Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 also, I've noticed that you get less jumping (improved frame rate) on videos without sound as less memory is being used... now what kind of video could you watch where sound is unimportant (ahem) And where could i find such videos...Ahem
Guest youngerpants Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 apparently the interweb thingy is a good place to start
