C550 Protective Case/ I-skin

Can somebody help, I am the proud owner of an Orange SPV C550, and want to stay proud of it. Does anyone know where I can find a protective case to help me keep my SPV in good nick.

I've seen I-skin type silicon covers for the C500 and wondered if anyone had released one for the C550 yet. Failing that a traditional cover that allows me to use the phone while keeping it protected would be helpful.

hi Thedr I have just got myself a C550 as well and there arent any custom made cases for it yet, so I got myself a Krusell Vertical case similar to this in white which complements the C550 very nicely.

Can't say I've seen any of the i-skins, but I picked up Orange's own universal belt case.

It's horizontal in the style of the one supplied with the original SPV/E100 (my personal preference), stitched black leather and a funky metal Orange logo on it.

It fits like a treat - spot-on length wise, and soon stretches to accomodate the width.

I'm toying with the idea of cutting a hole for the headset but otherwise top notch, 10/10.

Hi kosiu I hope it fits, the C550 is slightly bigger than the SDA Music and I think some of the buttons are not in the same place.

I used to have a Krussell body glove case for my E200 and because it is such a tight fit after a few months my screen was badly scratched :cry: minute bits of dust must have got in and with the case being such a snug fit they obviously started to rub against the screen as the you and the phone move.

Let us know when it arrives how it fits.

I have found these at BoxWave for O2 Xphone IIm and T-mobile SDA music. I have emailed to find out when/ if C550 version will be available but I gues if you can't wait then these should fit.

Unfortunately, you were right! The case from Qtek 8100/SDA Music DOES NOT fit SPV C550... I've just e-mailed Krusell complaining on their advice... Waiting for the answer...

Here is my reply from Boxwave (the makers of the flexiskin), it appears that their case for their for the O2 Xphone/ T-mobile SDA is a no go as well.

"The FlexiSkin itself will fit the Orange SPV550 phone, but because the buttons on the Orange SPV550 are slightly different from the O2 XPhone IIm, the cut out for the button will not be aligned with your Orange SPV550."

Hopefully someone will release a case that fits before I enevitably drop my phone :?:

woops to late for me, dont know how it happened but i now have scratch's on the screen . like i said dont know how it happened as i havent droped it, but i did have the inlaws visiting and my mother-in-law did take a liking to it! :roll:

wish someone would release a case for it. come on Krussell your case are normally good :exclaim:

Hi...i too had probs finding a case for the C550, but by chance have found a short term solution.

I have been using a cheap leather case made for the motorola c975 with my c550. the case is bigger thna the fone.....but its one where there is a velcro section on the back, so u can just stretch the case into place.

more importantlly tho the hole on the front of the case is in the place where the joystick can be used. its not in the perfect place....but i have not had any probs with it. Also there is a hole at the bottom so there is access to charger and hands free socket.

The phone doesnt look very nice with the case, but it does protect the screen and the phone....and is good enuff until a case comes out for the C550.

Just received my iSkin for the SPV C550 from Datakits.co.uk, not happy with it though, the silicon texture collects dust & fluff from your pocket the screen is not covered and the toggle switch is very difficult to use. Would have also preferred it to be transparent instead of translucent. Makes the phone look very cheap and nasty, will do for the meantime but can't wait for a Krusell!!

Krusell do say part of the appeal of their cases is a tight fit. Will it really not s-t-r-e-t-c-h to fit around the bottom edge? What a shame :o

No GOOD cases around yet to my knowledge, just cases that do not fit well.
