Hi

If i hard reboot my SPV C500 will i lose any data (contacts etc)?

You will lose all data - Contacts, Messages, Photos, Ringtones etc - stored on the phone itself.

The phone will revert to the state it was in when it left the shop.

After reset you can resync to your PCV and restore your Contacts, Calendar etc from Outlook but anything else you should manually copy onto your PC first.

Will it also lose any ROM updates that have been done and revert back to factory installed ROM?

No, the ROM existing won't be removed.

It is actually advised that you perform a hard reset after a ROM upgrade for some reason.
