Guest Paraklas Posted July 21, 2005 Report Posted July 21, 2005 I have a project which involves testing around 400 Web sites on my Mpx220. I'm using internet pass through with my USB cable to utilize my broadband connection instead of GPRS. Problem is after every 10-15 minutes the internet connection stops (Active sync remains connected though) and I have to unplug and plug again the usb cable to re-enable internet connection. This happens in old as well as the newest ROM (1.43) and I have tried using IE and the latest Opera for Smartphones (which is GREAT btw) but problem remains. The usb driver is properly installed as well as the latest version of activesync. Cable is also fine since the Activesync connection is not affected at all (this eliminates the possibility of a faulty cable). Any ideas?
Guest bills1974 Posted July 21, 2005 Report Posted July 21, 2005 Do you have any email accounts going out and checking every 10-15 through GPRS? When something goes out over GPRS, it may be messing with the USB passthrough...
Guest Paraklas Posted July 21, 2005 Report Posted July 21, 2005 (edited) Nop nothing! I actually don't have any GPRS accounts/setup on the phone. Edited July 21, 2005 by Paraklas
Guest omega2008 Posted July 21, 2005 Report Posted July 21, 2005 Nop nothing! I actually don't have any GPRS accounts/setup on the phone. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You could have the modem drivers on the computer setup wrong...make sure your initialization string is correct and that it has the correct APN for your carrier. I would also uninstall and reinstall the Smartphone Wireless Modem drivers from your computer....they could of been crupted.
