Anyone got bluetooth GPS working reliably on c550?

Hi,

I have a DConnex DC-230 (i think) Bluetooth GPS device. It paired and worked perfectly with my old C500 (with the old Orange rom), but when I flashed the new orange rom (the one with WM10 on it), it behaved oddly. I got around it by flashing back to the old rom, and all was fine.

As i feared, my new C550 behaves oddly as well. I can create a virtual serial port (incoming) and the GPS will sometimes connect, but even when it connects its only sometimes that it actually works. I have tried all combinations of incoming and outgoing serial ports, deleting and re-creating the bond etc (if I want to use it, I delete all links, create the serial incoming, bond with bluetooth, and if it doesnt work, repeat all the above until it does :)

Has anyone got a bluetooth device working well with the C550? i am using Mapopolis? if so, what device are you using? i am seriously considering buying a new bluetooth dongle to get this sorted out.

Also, are there any decent bluetooth diagnostic tools for the Smartphone platform? something that shows active connections would be a step forward.

Im guessing that you cant install the Widcomm stack on the C550... is that correct?
