Guest dalecon Posted July 22, 2005 Report Posted July 22, 2005 Hi all I've downloaded PocketDivXEncoder to convert DVD's to AVI files In order to play these on my phone can i use WM version 10? Or would it be best to play the through beta player? Thanks
Guest Confused Stu Posted July 22, 2005 Report Posted July 22, 2005 Windows Media Player 10 can only play videos in WMV format, not AVI. Play the output from PocketDivxEncoder either in Betaplayer or The Core Pocket Media Player (the new version of Betaplayer). Lots of people prefer these to WMP10 too! :)
Guest HODGA Posted July 25, 2005 Report Posted July 25, 2005 you could use packet video ! thats wot i watch all my videos on ! how do u get betta [player on to ur fone ? i wud like that !
Guest mavisdavis Posted July 25, 2005 Report Posted July 25, 2005 You can get Beta Player from here http://tcpmp.corecodec.org/about It also has alot of guides to converting films. Personally I use PocketDivx Encoder and plonk the converted film on my memory card :) Overall process takes about an hour
Guest dalecon Posted July 25, 2005 Report Posted July 25, 2005 I've used PocketDivXEncoder to encode my DVD to an AVI file. I've downloaded TCPMP and about to install it to my phone - i've read somewhere that to use TCPMP you have to have an unlocked phone - is this correct? Can i just install TCPMP on my phone and copy the AVI to my storage card and watch my film? Thanks
