Guest Photon Posted July 23, 2005 Report Posted July 23, 2005 (edited) Well I finally got my M500, and was trying to install the (orange certified) version of Opera on it last night, and kept getting a message about the cab not being valid. Is the M500 application locked or am I just being crap? If the former can some kind soul point me in the direction of an unlocker.... Thanking you! Edited July 23, 2005 by Photon
Guest Pondrew Posted July 23, 2005 Report Posted July 23, 2005 Could it be the cab isn't for Pocket PC but for Smartphone? Because Smartphone cabs won't install...
Guest Photon Posted July 23, 2005 Report Posted July 23, 2005 Could it be the cab isn't for Pocket PC but for Smartphone? Because Smartphone cabs won't install... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'll give it another try like ... could have been a bad download or anything. It *says* its for 2003 like. So its not locked then?
Guest Pondrew Posted July 23, 2005 Report Posted July 23, 2005 Bear in mind software for Windows Mobile 2003 FOR SMARTPHONE is not usually compatible with the Windows Mobile 2003 For Pocket PC Phone on your M500. I'm not aware of any application lock on a Pocket PC Phone.
Guest Dade Posted July 23, 2005 Report Posted July 23, 2005 The M500 is definitely not locked in any way. You can install any apps that are designed for PocketPC. The app you are trying to install is for Smartphone 2003 not for PocketPC.
Guest Photon Posted July 23, 2005 Report Posted July 23, 2005 (edited) I just noticed that :) Time for a request I think, seeing as it wont be much work to port from smartphone to pocketPC (done some work in that area meself) Cant stand having to use *&¬¬^* IE these days ... Thanks for your help tho! Edited July 23, 2005 by Photon
