Screensaver - Can it be disabled?

I have just upgraded from the E200 to the C550. I used to be able to have my screen go dim but not off totally. I have tried every combination on the C550 under Power Management etc... but my screen just goes blank. Apart from the flashing little light you would not know its was on.

Can the screensaver be disabled and if so what combination of settings should I have ? I just want the backlight to stay on for a minute after each use and then the screen go dim. Many thanks.

I too hope there's a fix for this.

Even though the screen looks blank it is infact on... put it on something bright and let the backlight go off, you should just about be able to make out the screen. I don't know why it goes so dark, but it is still there, just appears to be off.

Yea, I see that, but it's soooo dark it's useless and may as well be off.

You're quite right... but what ya gonna do. Must say so far I'm chuffed to bits with my C550. I was messing about with my dad's C500 yesterday. I didnt realise how much better the screen was on the c550 (apart from appearing to be off when there's no backlight :), but that doesnt really bother me).
