Hiya,

ust upgraded to the m500 and everythng seems to be great.

The only problem I am having at the moment is installing older software.

I used to own an Toshiba e750 PPC running WM2003. I have alot of software for this device, such as a french dictionary/translator and a world clock that installed fine on my Toshiba.

But when trying to install on the M500, an error message states that the software is for a previous version and is not compatible with WM2003SE.

Is there an application lock or is WM2003 software not compatible with WM2003SE software?

Does is actually say that, or does it say that it "may not display correctly" due to it being for a previous version? If that's all, then out ought to be fine as I have loads of stuff running on my MDA Compact that gave that error when installing, but runs just fine.

All the software should work ok. I get that message for almost anything I install but you can ok the message and everything works ok.

Yeah, I get the may not display correctly message to on almost everything, and it all works fine. Basically all apps for WM2003 will work on Magician as it only has a QVGA screen, which is no different to WM2003.

Thanks for the replys. Some of it works and some do not work. The french dictionary/translator is a Lingvosoft software and is actually a ppc2002 software (but rebadged as a WM2003) as such is not recognised by WM2003SE.

Need to get onto Lingvosoft for an upgrade price.
