Hi.

I have just bought a Nokia 8800 off eBay. Because there was no box I went to collect to make sure it was working. I dialled out, used the camera etc. But now I have got it home I have found that it turns off as soon as someone tries to ring me. Has this phone been locked do you think or is there something I can do to fix it?

Thanks

Try it with a different network sim card to see if that sorts it. If the phone connects to the network at all - that means its not a blacklisted handset. How much did you pay for it? I'd take it back to wherever you got it from tbh!

Hi.

I paid £450 for it.

Will have to get another sim tomorrow. It will make calls and send/recieve text with my current vodafone one just turns off as soon as it recieves an incoming call. :) Gutted...I have been trying to get one of these at an affordable price for weeks.

Its affordable for the 8800, they are in such high demand on contract, most places either arent selling them sim free at all or are charging ridiculous prices (£600+) for them!
