Guest bluesmudge Posted July 24, 2005 Report Posted July 24, 2005 Right. Everytime someone calls me they cannot hear me, but i can hear them perfectly. Everytime that is, except when Orange Customer services call me. . . . . OR if someone calls me . . . . then calls back then its fine. Obviously becuase i cannot prove it OCS won't replace the phone, though they will let me send it to them (how thoughtful of them) Becuase of the randomness of the problem i do wonder if it is a windows issue . . . possibly a loading problem, probably in ingaging the mic ? I do have the leaked UK ROM on it and will be hard resetting it by flashing the official ROM on it see if that helps. Any other bright ideas?
Guest ven Posted July 24, 2005 Report Posted July 24, 2005 A similar thing happened to me, so I called Cingular and went through their damn annoying IVR system, when one of the options was "Having problems sending or receiving calls". So I said the proper keywords for that menu option and it told me that most of those kinds of problems are fixed if you turn off your cell, take out the battery and SIM card and put them back in. I didn't believe it, but I did it anyway so that the customer service people wouldn't tell me to go back and do it. Somehow, I don't know how, it worked.

Oh Welcome to the forum by the way, have a good look around and feel free to ask questions :)
Guest wildmanviper Posted July 24, 2005 Report Posted July 24, 2005 i have a similar problem...what I do when that happens, which is very sparatic is to close the cover about 1/4 of the way and reopen it until you hear your click. Then I am heard just fine. Its a little annoying, but i only have to do it about once every week or so. I believe its probably a hardware issue with the contacts when the phone flip is opened. Maybe not making full contact or something.

Guest ven Posted July 25, 2005 Report Posted July 25, 2005 Thanks for your welcome :) I hope my answer helped. wildmanviper, we don't have the Moto flip phone you do, so that wouldn't really work :D

I do hook my phone up to the car stereo via tape converter thingy, and i do that alot so im stopping that now to see what happens. - Unfortunatly that also means stopping useing regular headphones as well :D which is basicly my reason for having a c500 **considers a basic phone and a new sony walkman**
