Hi, Just got Picodrive on my C500 - is it possible to buy ROMS or is there a freeware place to get stuff from or is there a legal issue with running ROMS? Found some sites that sell games but not the ones I want. Only ended up with it becuase someone passed me the name of this emulator.

Cheers for any help.

Sorry but the only way to get some is through a p2p network. There are still a few internet pages but please look for yourself by googling because this is a very illegal issue (don`t even know if said to much?)!

I know one of the big rules on MoDaCo since day one has been not to discuss ROM's, where you can get them, which work, and so on.

I don't think you've gone too far with this topic as the answer is pretty much what anyone can find with one google. Still probably best to cut this topic short here before someone ends up inadvertently getting themselves and MoDaCo in trouble.

Laters people! :)

Well, no, not really. I think freeware homebrew programs are perfectly legal (at the moment), some people (including myself) enjoy programming on simple systems like the megadrive or most often gameboys.

Possibly because Nintendo have a more 'supportive' attitude towards homebrew communities (ie not shutting them down!!)?

trouble is, people read "roms" and go off on one...

That's because most people want information on commercial games etc rather than homebrew.
