Battery performance depends on network configuration, signal strength, operating temperature, features selected, and voice, data and other application usage patterns. Before you write off the phone based on the picture, check out the size in the specs - WOW... it's small... it really is 'RAZR inspired'. Look out Blackberry... with the Messaging Feature Pack, this is going to be a great e-mail device (if the keyboard is OK!) An interesting challenge too for developers on this one, with a ground breaking 320x240 (yes, landscape!) screen... What do you think? :) P
Guest pierre Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 Amazing! how come we did not see it coming?
Guest podavies Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 Amazing! how come we did not see it coming? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Need to see it next to a C500 just to see how big it is.
Guest tonijj Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 Need to see it next to a C500 just to see how big it is. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, that would be nice, to have some perspective on it, but then again, the Razr line's slim design almost assures us that this one will be small as well. Looks great though, this might be the one knocking my c500 off my desk then :) But it'll probably really expensive since the other Razr phones were rudly overpriced comparing to what you got, guess its time to smash that old piggy bag eh :D
Guest Jakob Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 Nice... Didn´t we see this on the Dangaard Powerpoint presentation which got released a month ago ?? Any news on EDGE capabilities or ? /J
Guest Confucious Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 It's due in Q1 06 - by the time it slips (as all Motos seem to) it probably won't be released until this time next year (just in time for me to upgrade again!). Looks good though, interesting that the screen is inb Landscape mode - with the problems of s/ware suporting QVGA in Portrait it will be interesting to see what will work on this.
Guest muff Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 as a programmer I can tell you that from here on in the possible screen dimensions cause all sorts of fun we can have lores or hires, with portrait or landscape or my personal favourite - square oh joy

Guest Lord Kordir Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 I don't really like the look of it tbh. The screen is too small imho. Would rather have an Imate Jam instead although it's dimensions are larger.
Guest Jakob Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 Check out >> ENGADGET << for hands on pictures ..
Guest bosshogg Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 Based on the advertised dimensions of both c500 and Razr Q, here is a quick size comparison:

Guest awarner [MVP] Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 I'm not too sure about the design, it looks too much like a Treo with a shrunk screen.
Guest muff Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 certainly aiming at people for blue/black berry type functionality
Guest amo Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 This has been doing the rounds for a couple of months at least now, MobileNews industry magazine picked up on it in May/June. Size wise - looks a bit like a Treo as someone else mentioned, but nice and thin. To be honest, not my cup of tea. The universal will be my device of choice whenever its released...
Guest thereaperman Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 well you could add wifi as there now a minisd wifi card, due out very soon.
Guest mkent_barbados Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 Damn, thought they would do a flipfone Razr smartphone. I like the form factor of the regular Razr, anything with a QWERTY keyboard is going to be too big.
Guest ad241 Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005  What Do I Think!!! I Think She Is A Lovely, Thats What I Think.
Guest nickcornaglia Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 What's that space under the keyboard? A place to rest your wrist when typing so you dont carpal(sp?) tunnel syndrome?
Guest Pagemakers Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 (edited) Why o why o no wifi o Clever eh :) Edited July 26, 2005 by Pagemakers
Guest Pondrew Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 Don't like the dimensions. Would be worried about snapping it! Also agree that with peeps thinking the landscape screen is going to cause issues. Most software surely won't run... ...unless, does Windows Mobile 2005 for Smartphone (as I'm assuming this is) introduce the screen toggle between portrait and landscape?
Guest Pagemakers Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 I guess it's aimed at the BlackBerry boys (and girls). BTW, just come back from Canada and over there "everybody" has the damm things.
Guest morpheus2702 Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 Let's hope it is more successful than the MPx...
