Guest ggadjie Posted July 28, 2005 Report Posted July 28, 2005 Im sure this has been mentioned before and if it has I apologise. I have a spv c500 and I am mystified by its bluetooth functionality. I dont seem to be able to send files like my previous phone. If this is a trade off, I will accept it, but please can someone tell me if its anything I havent done. Very grateful Ggadjie
Guest newmachine Posted July 28, 2005 Report Posted July 28, 2005 select the file you want to send in, and then select File -> Send -> Beam. "Beam" here means both IR and BT. To be able to receive files from other, you must enable "Receive Incoming Beams" on Settings -> Beam preferences. Or, you can install other applications such as SmartExplorer ro Resco Explorer 2003, they have built-in BT support.
Guest Goatie Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 OMG! Thanks. I had no idea why nobody was able to send me stuff via bluetooth for ages. Bloody confusing having Beam and Bluetooth settings affect each other, but still seperate them in the 'Settings' list. I was of course always looking for a tick box or option in the Bluetooth settings page. Hopefully this has been sorted out in C550 and so on?! (I have c500)
