Transferring SMS, MMS and Pictures between phones

have just got new C550 and popped my 256Mb memory card into the new phone - along with SIM card.

Powered up phone and go to check my SMS, MMS and Multimedia Album and none of my old stuff is there!

Path to Pictures on old phone (C500) was \Storage\My Documents\My Photos

How do I get these photos off the old phone onto the memory card please. then can I read this from the memory ard or do I have to coy to new phone

I have no utilities currently on my old or new phone but could download if needed. I have not yet registered new phone - need to wait until this is sorted out.

Not so bothered about ring tones and music but would be nice to get those also.

- has anyone found homescreens for C550 yet ?

- is it possible for someone to write me my very own HomeScreen layout rather than using the ones supplied. I want one that looks like Windows Basic but has Calendar at the bottom and allows more calendar information to be displayed, Ie subject and location on seperate lines so I can see at a glance, who I am meeting and where !

If you use an ActiveSync connection to your PC you can do an easy copy from \Storage\My Documents\My Photos to the PC then you can copy then to your memory card...

you will have to change the directory where the multimedia album is looking in your new phone...

not sure about messages though :? sorry...

for SMS messages you can use a program called "Jeyo Mobile Extender for Outlook". It will import your messages to MS Outlook (and you can send it back to the other phonr) but MMSes arent included. You'd better save the MMS files manually to your Storage Card
