Guest chocobogo Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 When trying to get some Pocket PC games running on my SPV I noticed that after I installed them it said to complete installed your device must be restarted, and i clicked ok and sure enough the SPV Restarted, rather quick I may add. So I was wondering if someone could develop an EXE file to add this as an option in the start menu then a speed dial could be added so if the phone was clogged up it would be easy to do a restart. Anyway it would be a useful feature I imagine. Just a thought!
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 A bit like holding shift when re-starting windows? That was a low level re-boot. Used to work on 95 & 98 but not sure if the newer vesions still have this :?
Guest amo Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 XP doesnt, im not sure about me, nt and 2k though...
Guest madu Posted January 21, 2003 Report Posted January 21, 2003 well, in windws restarts could be done just by doing Start>Run.. then type in something like 'rundll32.exe rstrt.dll -fr -a' well, i'm sure that can be done for spv and put as a shortcutt somewhere...
Guest Matt Whitfield Posted January 21, 2003 Report Posted January 21, 2003 "Windowscoldinit.exe" :?:

Guest h00pyfr00d Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 Win 2k and XP, hold down F8 during the windows screen and that gives you advanced booting options like safe mode.
Guest Carnivor Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 You can do a warmboot in XP, by holding ctrl and doing a shutdown, it dont ask questions about saving stuff just pops!!
