Guest johnmcd3 Posted July 29, 2005 Report Posted July 29, 2005 (edited) This is a little bit moot until I figure out how to get my SMT5600 unstuck from the tri-color screen as described at http://www.modaco.com/Backup_your_Typhoon_...201334-s45.html but I am still confused about one part of the backup process: After I made the first backup attempt, I put the miniSD card in my M200 tablet's SD drive, and windows read it and brought up an E: drive window that was empty. Since the r2sd process writes data starting at the first byte, I figured that the backup had just gotten overwritten because windows had to make a logical partition on the drive. So from there, I took the card and created a fresh back up incase that one got overwritten, which I am hesitant to put in my computer since my SMT5600 is not working and it's my only backup. Anyways, is there anything to be worried about here? Is there any way to make sure Windows doesn't mess with my card when I put it in? Or should I buy an external card reader that's not intergrated into my computer? Thanks for the advice. John Edited July 29, 2005 by johnmcd3

John <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not sure what was going on here, bought an external card reader, had no problems.
