I have googled and searched forums, but cannot find a specific topic about this. Is it at all possible? I was thinking of buying a SDA Music from ebay but first I wan't to make sure that I can replace T-mobile ROM with an scandinavian Qtek ROM.

Well, they are both HTC Amadeus devices to begin with so the hardware should be the same. The problem you might have is that each device (SDA Music, Qtek 8100, etc) has a preset ID and most roms will only procede to update a device when the ID matches up.

One method I've heard suggested to work is getting the device sim unlocked by www.imei-check.com. Why? Because the unlock process they use apparently also unlocks your device for any rom intended for the device no matter the branding. BUT the unlock is not cheap at £20 AND the main page compatibility list has virtually every Smartphone device listed BUT NOT the HTC Amadeus. You may want to email them first to make sure it's compatible.

There are other methods but they are far more risky, usually involving editing the header file of the rom. Be warned, this is not for the faint hearted. Try it and you could kill your SDA Music. I found the method for installing different HTC Typhoon roms here. I wouldn't try it if I were you. :|

Oh, this was posted in that same thread I linked to. Seems far easier to me. Now all you gotta do is confirm if imei-check is compatible with SDA Music.

I don't understand the need for all these long winded install procedures. If your phome is IMEI - unlocked just run the update software. Works every times for me. Once it is unlocked you should be able to run ANY updater for the HTC Typhoon and equivalents.
