Hi,

My phone keeps on freezing meaning that I have to remove the battery in order to reboot. I'm assuming this is a software problem but does anyone know if there is an update etc available to fix it?

Thanks,

Steve

Welcome to the forum :)

The phone shouldn't be locking up, whichever ROM is installed.

Are you filling the phone memory up with software, ringtones, messages etc or letting the battery run down ?

Hi, thanks for the quick reply. I do have a lot of texts in my folders but have deleted them now. Will see if this improves things and let you know.

Thanks,

Steve

Ye, check what percent of the internal storage is being used. You should keep it to a minimum, and use a storage card.

When I had my SPV Classic - I only ever used the 8 mb SD that came with it. Along with the phones internal memory. It used to crash alot. Then it broke, and HTC had to take it to be fixed, when it came back they had reset it and it stopped crashing, so I think it down to the amount of memory full inside.

If you use the Task Manager in your Accessories folder, hit Menu then System Info.

Scroll down to Flash Information. The reading you're looking for is STORAGE (Flash) - mine says 18.09MB free which is pretty healthy
