WMP remote control!

Hi!

As you may be aware of, I had created a project which allows you SPV users to control WMP (Windows Media Player) using your smartphone!

It allows you to control WMP on your smartphone for your computer. It was really designed for bluetooth users however it can use USB.

It can also connect to the server via internet/wap (GPRS)!

Why should you have to go all the way to your computer to put on a different media file when you can do it all through the power of your SPV? :) I have created an application that does this for you! You can also chat, just like an IM program (simplistic IM)

I hope you like it, and would appreciate any feedback! It was a tough job but i think ive managed it.

It is still in beta stage but hope you guys can give me some feedback and use it!

Imagine you got a hot date, why must you walk over to your computer to change the track? do it from the power of the SPV hehe (thanks for the user who thought about that particular scenario!). I designed it because I wanted to and because I just love the technology MS has made. I also wanted to make it so I could play a track when I am walking into the house...to greet me LOL ;)

Is this app graphical - ie will it run ok on C550's QVGA screen?

the app is not graphical, there are no graphics. it should run on C550 as well. :)

I wish the icon is colored and a cab file for easy install. Thanks and it's a nice simple software.

I think this is a brill idea been looking for 1 of these for my pocker pc for ages u dont fancy porting it to ppc =) im getting the c500 soon on t mob but not for a month.

hehe - nope, since I own an SPV and there is a difference in designing the app from a PPC and a smartphone :)

Thats correct, the reasons being is because I dont know why there should be graphics, its just a simple app. The more graphics you add the more slower the app will get (naturally). If you can come up with graphics, please post them and I will consider!

Yes, you can browse for a folder on your PC at any time, thats what designed to do ;). However if you are asking about changing the folder from the SPV it is not currently possible. I was thinking about this a few days ago but logically in my mind I was coming up with problems. Perhaps in the next version

Of course it will show you what is in that folder you have chosen! ;) There is no skip and pause button yet, there will be soon in the next version hopefully. It's just play for now. To request for the files in the current chosen directory on the PC, simply from the smartphone just request for "play list" and then select the file you wanna play and then "play file" Simple as that :(

lol - no chance sorry. I'm an MS guy and prefer WMP myself ;) if there is popular demand MAYBE i will consider but if i do I will charge for it. :D
