Newbie problem

Hello all,

Got a c500, which I believe in the UK is only available for the orange network. It is unlocked for all networks.

The problem is connecting to the interntet via GRPS. I have used the settings which are in the settings section of this website. The only settings I have used are for GPRS connections. I have not set up any for dial up, VPN, or prroxy. is this neccessary?

On the data connections settings, I have set internet to GPRS, work connection to automatic, WAP to automatic, and Secure WAP to automatic.

Please help me as I cannot check my email and I want my mummy....

That was useful, but still no luck.

the following message appears.

"ERROR

Unable to connect. Verify you have network coverage and try again"

I have setup GPRS internet ettings and GPRS WAP settings. I am unsure what the difference is, as I am, a newbie

Yes. That is appearing.

This icon moves once connecting, to just above the signal strength indicator.

One thing I did notice is that my password appears to be longer than the one I entered.

I am using one2one as my GPRS password and there appears a string of around ********** in length. Unusual?
