Guest Nashcom Posted August 2, 2005 Report Posted August 2, 2005 When I charge my phone at night I put it in silent mode and leave it on so I can see if I missed any important calls early in morning. When I do this sometimes the phone shuts itself off and can't be turned on unless you pull the mini sd card out. Then it seems to boot fine and I put the card back in. First time this happened I was sure the thing was a brick. Anyone have a fix for this or have any idea why this happens? I am seriously considering trading this thing for the Audiovox 5600. It may be the ugliest phone on the planet but my buddy claims its like a "MPX220 that works".

Guest Nashcom Posted August 3, 2005 Report Posted August 3, 2005 Thanks for the info. yes the battery charges. I find it strange that i have to take the mini sd card out to reboot it. I think you are right though.. I think I am going to make the swap.
Guest wildmanviper Posted August 8, 2005 Report Posted August 8, 2005 Before you swap, take the sd card out and charge it, might be something associated with the card and thats why the phone is shutting off...I suggest to try and leave the card out of the phone, charge it overnight and see if it turns off. If not, chunk the sd card for a new one, if so, trade it.
