Missed Call Picture: 1 Colour Scheme: 3 Simple: 3/4 - I like a functional homescreen but not a crowded one. Windows Mobile 5 Compatable Disconnect GPRS Function (Not really important, but worth a beg)

Guest Griff_FFOC Posted August 3, 2005 Report Posted August 3, 2005 (edited) 1. Date, Time, and message counts. 2. Alarm Plugin to see alarm setting at a glance is a must for me, profile plugin to see which profile is set, and calendar items is nice to see. 3. Missed calls - 2 (1 is less important ,5 is very important ) 4. Colour scheme - 4 (1 is less important ,5 is very important ) . 5. Simple Screen - 4 (1 is less important ,5 is very important ). I don't need startup and shutdown screens, as I only ever see them when switching on and off, and can't be hassled with having to switch phone on and off just to activate the home screen properly. . 6. I think pretty much everything has been said above. As long as everything fits in with each other, i.e. homescreen background and colour scheme, and it's simple but functional, then i'm happy. Pretty much everything that i've got on here really: http://www.modaco.com/index.php?act=dscrip...etails&f_id=310 http://www.modaco.com/index.php?act=dscrip...etails&f_id=362 Edited August 3, 2005 by Griff_FFOC

Guest Jamma14 Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 I need some help here guys if u want me 2 b closer to your needs ... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 1. Time, Date, Battery 2. Shortcuts, Storage Card remaining memory, Signal 3. Missed Calls - 2 4. Colour Scheme - 4 5. Simple Screen - 2 (Don't mind simple one's or full themes, as long as they fit okay) 6. I like themes with Smart Monitor and RJ Shortcut in them, and ones that use plugins orginally to create clever effects, not just pasting a background and shoving an iconbar and MRU somewhere. For my kinda thing have a look HERE. 8) Note: It was submitted yesterday, was not accepted at time of posting but should be soon.

Guest drblow Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 You have a c500 right? Why don't you invetsigate the orange shortcuts plugin? It allows you to include many more plugins as they can be scrolled horizontally. :)

Guest jamjammo Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 1. Name the 3 most important elements in a homescreen for you (time ,date ,and so on).Date & Time: in an easy customizable format. you may like: 12/01/05 @ 14:51. someone else may prefer: Thu. - Dec.01,05 - 2:51pm. while someone else may only want: 14:51:59.Tasks or ToDo List at a glance, see what needs to be done today.New messages or Emails indicator. not a flashing icon. or a marquee scroller. but perhaps just a different color font, size, etc. that the user can change him/her-self.2. Name up to 3 optional elements you would like to see in a homescreen.battery list indicator. when i had my Dell Axim. SPB PocketPlus had one neat trick that had a very non-intrusive indicator. see it here. i liked that method most, as it was visible, but out of the way.space used, or available on both internal and removable memory.instant access to task manager, to close all running applications.3. Vote with a number from 1 to 5 the level of importance of a missed calls picture . (1 is less important ,5 is very important )a missed calls picture, hhmm. as i am very new as a SmartPhone user, i think this means that a preselected image would appear on the LCD showing the face of the person whose call you missed?! if im right, then i would go against that idea. i dont think everyone would have matching images of EVERYONE in their contact list. ... change my mind ... perhaps a small avatar? or other icon? in addition to a *.jpg photo? maybe 100x100 in size? or a blank selection for those with no pic to match. and while im with my ideas flowing ... do you use Gmail? when someone emails me a reply to an ongoing message, it says the time the message was received, and how many hours have lapsed since receiving. i think that would be a neat idea. ex: Missed Calls: images - contact name - time of call  mother-in-law 12:30pm (45m ago) and after the call lapses ONE HOUR:  mother-in-law 12:30pm (2h 18m ago) original vote = 1-2, but now i give it a 5 for highly important. 4. Vote with a number from 1 to 5 the level of importance of a color scheme in a homescreen . (1 is less important ,5 is very important ).are you asking if it is important to have a color scheme indicator on the homescreen? i would vote 1. not important. as an avid user of my Dell Axim PDA, i wouldnt set my color scheme/theme all that often. i had my favorite ONE. i set it and forget it. now that ive got a SmartPhone. i do the same way. choose one scheme and leave it that way. other users may want the functionality to select a new theme each day! 5. Vote with a number from 1 to 5 the level of importance of a simple homescreen (standby & missed calls picture) vs a complete one (with extra screens) . (1 is less important ,5 is very important ).just out of curiosity?! would be shown on the extra screens?! i think it would be neat if on the extra screen/screens, a call history for that ONE contact would be shown. ex: Missed Calls: images - contact name - time of call :?: John S. 4:34pm (12m ago) and then when you return John S. call: :?: John S. 00:10 (duration of the current call) View Contact (img) View Calendar (img) Call Log John S. 10/31/05 16:34-16:39 00h:05m 10/31/05 19:20-19:54 00h:34m 11/24/05 10:42-10:43 00h:01m 12/01/05 12:53-14:05 01h:12m see whatta mean?! 6.This space is opened for any other suggestions.i suggest a more intuitive method of assigning ringtones to contacts. :)
