New Orange ROM - Where? Known Issues?

Hi,

I've seen plenty of posts about the latest Orange ROM for the C500, but I can't seem to find anyone who has actually said where to download it from, so . . . .

"Where can I download it ?"

Also, aside from the Answerphone default number issue, are there any other known problems ?

Is it worth the bother?

OK - so I look stupid :roll: - but thanks for the reply. I did spend a go 30mins plus last night on the orange site trying to find it and couldn't.

I hope my ignorance is of use to someone else and thanks again. ;)

Sorry, didn't mean to poke fun.

It's actually pretty well-hidden and I admit that every time I answer this question I have to spend 5 minutes looking myself !

As far as bugs go, I haven't played with it long enough to notice anything new but you might want to read the first couple of pages in this section of the forum.

I downloaded the latest ROM from Orange with no problems so far. The answerphone works OK. I have not tried syncing anything across from WMP 10 to the C500 yet. Everything else is fine. :)

The only two that I've come across that are new bugs are:

1. TomTom 4 breaks (but AFAIK TomTom 5 is OK - might be wrong here).

2. The answerphone quick dial is set to 123456 or 654321.

A link to the C500 latest rom update page was recently added to the HTC Typhoon sticky. Can someone have a look at the link here and tell me if the 4.2.1.1 link works?

I updated my Orange C500, and since then I've had no vibrate function - is there some hidden setting I can check for this (I have sound + vibrate set already) or is the lack of vibrate an issue with the new Orange update?

Also, Bluetooth with my GPS receiver is a little flaky - I can add a device, and it pairs fine, but if I turn off the phone and switch it back on, the only way I can get the C500 to talk with it again is to delete, and re-pair it. Anyone else have this problem?

I can understand not posting links to ripped off software, but this is ridiculous.

No, what is ridiculous is when people can't find the ROM upgrade themselves even when the link has been posted several times on this forum before ! ;) :)
