Truefax application

Does anybody know what happened to the Truefax application mentioned in the M500 Manual (the larger HTC produced manual, not the basic Orange supplied one). It does mention that to receive faxes you require an special number from Orange but that to transmit faxes you only require GPRS. As far as I can make out this is the only application listed in this manual missing from the m500? Everything else listed in on the phone (gprs monitor, clearvue apps, midlet, photo album).

I've read somewhere that Orange have never enabled this service on their network. I seem to also remember that o2 might be the only operator with this service.
