Guest ebony_rascal Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 How do you prevent the M500 from automatically briefly displaying an incoming text message. thanks Paul
Guest Xenzo1990 Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 I dont understand the problem what happens?
Guest Sir Max Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 (edited) I think he means as soon as he recieves a text that it automatically opens onto his screen. Therefore interupting whatever he is doing. Im not sure if im correct though? - Max Edited August 4, 2005 by Sir Max

Guest Xenzo1990 Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 Ouch... Really? Can anyone else shed light on this. Because its a serious problem.
Guest Sir Max Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 Lol Im having pictures of you recieving a "private" text at work. If your collegues really are so nosy enough to read it then that can be annoying. But then again if I saw a "private" text message on someones phone next to me Id have a quick glance :) All I can say until someone with more knowlege posts is put a sticker on your phone says "OI HANDS OFF BUDDY" Or just keeping it in your pocket all the time. Good luck - Max
Guest dshaugney Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 In settings>sounds¬ifications>notifications>event[messaging: New text message] untick Display message on screen That should do the trick.
Guest RazorD Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 I know what he means, it doesnt actually open outlook, but a alert dialog opens with "new text messages: *first hundred or so characters of text*" along with whos its from :) I've been worried a bit, when mum borrows my phone for BigBrother... (>.>)
