Smartphone to Desktop via BT?

Hi, I'm having problems sending files from my SPV c500 to my desktop via bluetooth. I can active sync via bluetooth and transfer files this way which is probably the best way but I'd like to just send files via smartexplorer directly to the computer without having to active sync.

Each time I go down the smartexplorer route my phone says "Unable to Connect!" Any ideas?

To communicate with the PC you will need to use Activsync.

I do not think that you can just bond devices between the pc and the phone. Without a BT pc I can not confirm this 100%

You could just use Infrared instead, you don't need AS for that. Furthermore you shouldn't need AS for BT connections either since you bond the two units separately from AS so therefore they have their own connection, sort of speak. I know I can send files to my phone via BT without having AS on, but I never tested to send from the phone to the PC, will try it when I get off work, which is in about 8hrs.... :?:
