Guest benjytrainer Posted August 5, 2005 Report Posted August 5, 2005 Hi all, Just a quick canvas of opinion about whether any of you have noticed a degradation of the earpiece (inside) speaker over the course of a month. I bought a black mpx220 just under a month ago and in the course of that period, the internal speaker has started buzzing as people talk - this is bad enough now that it actually distorts what people are saying. I'm returning the unit for a replacement, and am getting another, but I was wondering whether it's going to do the same again ....... .... I've seen another MPX220 do this too, so not hugely positive about what your comments might be :) cheers benj
Guest kentyboy Posted August 11, 2005 Report Posted August 11, 2005 I've just sent mine back because of the very same fault. Hopefully the new one will work properly. I also had people telling me I sounded really really echoey as well!! Im beginning to think that im starting to fight a loosing battle with the MPX 220.
Guest Crobat Posted August 17, 2005 Report Posted August 17, 2005 Mpx220's speaker is too weak.. i mean it is easily messed up and gives lesser sound :/
Guest kidd.kaio Posted August 17, 2005 Report Posted August 17, 2005 my first one was a silver v1.3 with an orange dot from best buy. it was suppose to be one of the "good ones" if it had all that. but after a month my speaker stared to crackle and i could barely hear anyone. then it would lock up when i put the usb cable in it. so i returned it and got a silver v0.342 (i think) and have had it ever since with no problems. now updated to the latest (US) firmware. but i've heard of people returning them 7 times with the same result. its a quality control issue. nothing more. complete luck of the draw. so place your bets and spin the wheel. thats all you can do. but i will say that if you manage to get a "good one" its a great phone. good luck. p.s. make sure you take the plastic off of the ear piece. :) that drove me nuts for the first few hours i had mine.
