Guest Chuckster Posted August 7, 2005 Report Posted August 7, 2005 I've been doing a lot of experimenting in XML to create Homescreens for my phone. Is it possible to view the Homescreen in my PC before uploading it to my phone?

Is it possible to view the Homescreen in my PC before uploading it to my phone? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I only got my smartphone (i-mate SP5 - glee!) last Friday, so you can consider me to be a bit of a n00b, but as far as I can tell, the only tools available for this kind of thing are either something like Ruttensoft or Sunnysoft's homescreen design tools, or, if you're brave, using the Microsoft Device Emulator - which is about equally as easy to develop with as connecting your smartphone anyway, without the ease of navigation. Knowing a little about XML, it wouldn't be impossible to create a translation stylesheet that could read through a homescreen XML file and spit out a rough HTML preview; I might look at that over the next few days. -matt

You could possible even sell it :)
