removing extra icons

The other day my spv m500 crashed and i had to remove the battery cover to reset it (is there a better way?). When i switched it back on an extra tomtom shortcut had appeared on the desktop, how can i remove one of them as it is bugging me now. Sorry if this is a basic question but i cant for the life of me find my instruction manual

yeh.. softreset it by poking the stylus in the secret button hole at the bottom... its to the right of the headphone socket (with the screen facing upwards)

if its on the actual desktop, then go to the settings and 'today' and under the items tab.... or go to a file explorer and browse to windows\start menu and rearrange it how u want t..
