Guest Maziar Posted August 7, 2005 Report Posted August 7, 2005 Hi! I have i-mate PDA2k PPC with Windows Mobile 2003SE OS; I just saw a Windows Mobile 2005, download file, somewhere! :) I wonder if I can install it on my Device, too. :??: anybody here who has tried this before?! :??: And also if I did it, and my device got damaged, is it possible to undo the changes, so the PPC, work as well as before? I heard that, donig such upgrades, makes device Garranty unusable! :?: is it correct? if so, even if I change ROM into it's previous situation?
Guest Xenzo1990 Posted August 7, 2005 Report Posted August 7, 2005 Well, I did it on my Smartphone (c500) but it was WM5 For HTC Typhoon. So it contained all the hardware specific drivers for my device. Yes, once the upgrade is done your warranty is void. No you cant change back as far as I know. Of course if your really smart and can figure out how to move back then its possible. But its very difficult. WM5 isnt that special. Another year, developers will be fluently making software for WM5 then I'll get a WM5 device, but until then. Im with 2003SE. On smartphone the upgrade rendered next to ALL my old programs unusable.
