What's the correct setting to Connect with GMAIL?

I don't use Outlook on my ETEN M500 I just access my gmail accoount from the Messages facility.

However I obtained the necessary info from here

Its something to do with port numbers, and you have to put : for the mail servers. or something its been on here before google for it.

I don't think that works, Outlook on the PPC has no possible way of changing the port numbers used. Huge bug and a massive security hole; private servers should not be run on default ports :)

for Gmail input the server information as 'pop.gmail.com:995' and 'smtp.gmail.com:465' respectively.

Also in Options ensure that 'require SSL connection', 'outgoing mail requires authentication' and 'use separate settings' are all ticked. Also in 'outgoing settings' re-input your log on details and also tick 'require SSL for outgoing mail'.

The above works for me, although I do not recall if I have actually sent any E-mails from from G-mail account.

All the settings work like charm

But do not forget to activate pop msg in Gmail account.

Guys, thanks for this! I knew the port numbers, but didn't know I could add them to the end of the outgoing and incoming server addresses.
