Guest rameses Posted August 7, 2005 Report Posted August 7, 2005 I don't use Outlook on my ETEN M500 I just access my gmail accoount from the Messages facility. However I obtained the necessary info from here Gmail Help this may provide the answers you require. 8)

Huge bug and a massive security hole; private servers should not be run on default ports :)

Guest flyswat Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 for Gmail input the server information as 'pop.gmail.com:995' and 'smtp.gmail.com:465' respectively. Also in Options ensure that 'require SSL connection', 'outgoing mail requires authentication' and 'use separate settings' are all ticked. Also in 'outgoing settings' re-input your log on details and also tick 'require SSL for outgoing mail'. The above works for me, although I do not recall if I have actually sent any E-mails from from G-mail account. Regards,
