Guest smirk Posted August 7, 2005 Report Posted August 7, 2005 Hi, during an update, or perhaps i should say - after one, my phone went blank. it just doesn't turn on, there's no bootloader screen, no nothing. i must add the flash update i tried wasn't supposed to be running on my phone model. i kinda forced it :) now i'm left with a dead phone and some afterthoughts... ask someone smarter before you act ;) so, is there anyone who is smart enough to help? or just comment?
Guest Geeklord Posted August 9, 2005 Report Posted August 9, 2005 From my experience, I've found that Mobile Operators are very helpful when it comes to things like this. Try this. 1. Go to your operator or service provider. 2. Swallow your pride and act dumb and tell them you have no idea what, how or why this has happened. 3. Ask very nicely if they can restore it to working state (there is a way to phrase it so that the suggestion to restore your phone will come from them, but this takes skill) 4. Say Thank you with a big sincere smile 5. Learn from your mistakes and promise yourself not do it again (not too soon at least) Note: in the event that they charge you for it, you may skip the big sincere smile from step 4, but still say thank you. :)

Best regards and thanks again
