RETURN key on BA keyboard

Hi

As a newbie, I've done a lot of searching on this excellent forum, but couldn't find anything on this one previously - pls forgive if I've missed it

When entering text e.g. in SMS, the Return key on the keyboard seems to work very unpredictably: Sometimes it acts as Carriage Return (Newline) which is what I expect; other times as "Ok" i.e. Exit. It drives me nuts! I've tried all combinations - with the Shift and Fn keys or not, or the first time you press it. Does anyone please know what the logic is? Many thanks. :)
