Hi, I don't know about amr files, but I use JEYO personaliser to set up all my tones,as wav files off my SD card, free prog. that works a treat.

only thing to watch out for is if, after setting up your tones with Jeyo you then go into settings>sounds, sounds resets them all to default, no problem once you realise.

:) ok so what i meant was that if there were any program that can allow us to have the option "set as ringtone" like Nokia phones do

so that if i'm scrolling through my sounds and music on my phone and find any interesting one , i can directly use it as a ringtone (using this program) no matter whether this sound is an amr, wav , or mp3.......

Yep,

As I said get Jeyo and that sets up ringtones like Nokia's, and also,themes,sounds,wallpaper and program order in the menu,[first seven anyway].

Ah, rereading your message, the phone is only able to use two types of format .WAV and midi I think, for ringtones, just dug out the manual and that say's only .WAV files on an MPx200..

You'll need a conversion program to change the format, I use Jet Audio.

The MPx200 will play wavs & MID0 format files.

MID0 (as opposed to MID1 or MID2) ringtones are not polyphonic as such but there is a fantastic selection on Coolsmartphone.com
