ROM update, companion CD, right one, internet acc?

my phone info: MPx220, windows mobile 2003 SE, purchased from a private party, he bought it in europe from a chineese vender. The phone is in english, the companion CD is in Chineese.

I am using it with T-Mobile (unlocked SIM) the phone was used with cincular here in California before.

My questions: 1. does anyone know what ROM I should be using or is the phone based on the tech details already upto date? 2. can't get the phone to connect to the internet. Has anyone had success at seting up GPRS access using T-Moble service? 3. anyone know where I can obtain a companion CD in english?

My personal reccomendation based on experience on almost all recently released ROMs (1.43 (Cingular), 3.45 (Chinese), 1.47 (Generic), etc) would be to use the generic 1.47 ROM version.

1. Better battery life

2. Better call quality & volume

3. Better camera

4. Faster menus
