Guest mcoxall Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 I have a c500 on orange and as my contract is due to expire i have been shopping around. I have seen that if i order a new phone on 3 i can get 3000 mins of peak per month for £5.99 per month. (for the first 12 of 18 months) Could i use this 3 SIM in my c500 and still be able to use voice SMS and GPRS. or alternativly will this plan be matched by the orange value promise. Thanks for your help in advance (I Hope)
Guest moosery Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 (edited) I believe the answer is no addendum: have tried it, the answer is definitely no. And to the suggestion of orange matching- I have to say, it's worth trying. Depends who you get on the other end of the line. Very unlikely though, I'd say. Edited August 10, 2005 by moosery
Guest Confucious Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 Unfortunatly it's no, old 3 USIMS work but when they realise you are doing it they will send you a new USIM which doesn't work - 3 don't want you using GSM when you could be using their network. I believe Orange will match the other major providors but NOT 3 - no one can match their deals which is why I ussually carry a crappy 3 phone as well as my gorgeous C550. I wanted to put my 3 USIM in my old C500 but it doesn't work :)
