can i conect m2000 to a pc without activesync ?

i have my pda istalled & working on my pc at home , can i connect the pda to my work pc without acticve sync ? i am unable to install software on my work pc due to internal IT policies.

has anyone tried this ? it asks me for a driver when i connect it , but thereafter it says your device is now ready to use .... but its not !!

Anyone try this at all ?

I'm afraid I dont know of any other method of connecting a windows based pda but....

Just a thought, but surely those IT policies are there for a reason? ;o)

Having previously worked as PC support I know theres nothing more frustrating than a member of staff coming to me with a broken PC because they've tried to get round the "policies". To be honest I was much more inclined to help users who asked me about the possibility of using the pda first before trying to go around the system!

what do you need to do? if its just file transfer you could just plug in a data cable to usb or even a wifi or BT dongle? in my work ive got a card reader plugged in aswell so you can shove in the SD.
