texting via the PC

ive done a search in this section but can't find anything of use!

basically i think i read somewhere that it is possible with some software on your pc, to type the text on your pc and send it, all with your phone hooked up to your pc with activsync, or was i just dreaming of something that cool??!

if you know anything about this, or where i should go to get what i need, please get back to me!! :?:

I can think of 2 ways:

Best way- Use Jeyo's Mobile Extender to add text messaging onto your Outlook. That way sending/receiving a text is the same as sending/receiving a mail.

Cheapest way - Download the Windows mobile PowerToy "Activesync Remote Display" from Microsoft.com and then, when it's running you can go into text messaging and just type on your keyboard & the phone will pick it up! :)
