Default input methods by application (WM2003)

Hi.

Is it possible to set a default input method by application? For example, with messages, i would prefer to have the phone pad (for t9 - easier on the move). but i would want letter recognizer for explorer, keyboard for contacts, etc.

i am using an imate jam as an fyi.

Bump - having played with an M500 in an Orange shop, I hadn't tested this but had presumed it would just go back to the last text entry method you used for that application?

I was astonished that the phone pad didn't automatically change to offer number entry when adding a phone number to a contact, so my impressions of the device are so far good and with lots of potential to fiddle and play with, but with increasing flaws...

Entry methods are the biggest gripe I have with my M500

The biggest gripe is probably that the button to change input method is so blooody small - you have to be pretty accurate with your thumb to hit it, or get the stylus out

I suspect there's a way to manage it (maybe a hardware button assigned to change to your preferred method?) but I haven't found it yet
