Guest hardinxcore Posted August 24, 2005 Report Posted August 24, 2005 I'v some questions about this... For wich phone is this made? (or: on wich phone will this work) :?: Is there an uninstaller :??: Can somebody give a discription about this software?
Guest springtimesnow Posted August 27, 2005 Report Posted August 27, 2005 Anybody actually get this to do anything?
Guest thebeachbum Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 hmm... anyone tried this? i like the idea with my c550 cos of the screen turning off and all... i would obviously be able to see if i had a message more easily. but seeing as i just got the phone im not too keen to try it myself...
Guest tooxic Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 I installed this to try out because as beachbum said, with the C550 screen turning off it was hard to tell if there is a message... My phone was on charge with a solid green LED and I sent myself a message and hey presto the LED started flashing green. Once I read the message it went solid again... So yes, it works :)
Guest Dr_StrangeTrick Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 Same here, it works a treat on the C550
Guest mslake Posted September 21, 2005 Report Posted September 21, 2005 Is there anyway to make the LED blink faster? It differentiates between when you have a message and when you just have a wireless signal, but it is not obvious. It would be nice if it would alternate colors or blink at a very different speed.
Guest Dr_StrangeTrick Posted September 21, 2005 Report Posted September 21, 2005 Also can the vibrate be turned off as well. I would rater use my profile to control vibrate.
Guest smouk7 Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 will this work on a c500? if so where abouts to i put the 3 files? what folder? thanks

Guest SinisterJunkie Posted October 2, 2005 Report Posted October 2, 2005 Well first thing, you will only download one file LED.cab. Do not unpack the cab file. Transfer the cab file to your phone and select the file with the file manager on your phone. The cab file will install. Check out the First 48 Hours with a smartphone Thread for information on the various useful information.
Guest gghxr Posted October 5, 2005 Report Posted October 5, 2005 yes it works on my smartphone--MIO 8390 ^_^ but there's an other question: how to close it on my phone??
Guest Drd Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 on SPV C500 it is enough to select another profile to turn off the LED blinker.
Guest Wombleuk Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 (edited) Doesn't do anything on my C500. I also can't find where it was installed, so I can offload it. Edited October 30, 2005 by Wombleuk

Guest abhayseth Posted December 5, 2005 Report Posted December 5, 2005 the file gets downloaded as a .php file - the phone dosent undertand what the php file is & asks to choose the application. Guest James Posted December 5, 2005 Report Posted December 5, 2005 just tested it, it is a CAB file... you need to copy it to your phone and run it from there.
Guest someone Posted December 14, 2005 Report Posted December 14, 2005 Anyone tried this with a WM5 phone? Like the 8310 for example? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, it does work on my WM5 powered Qtek 8310!
Guest roma0803 Posted December 14, 2005 Report Posted December 14, 2005 (edited) Anyone tried this with a WM5 phone? Like the 8310 for example? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yep, also with an i-mate SP5m. Though it appears the LED is not resetting to normal with a keypress after a call. It does with SMS. Test some more and I'll report back here. This tweak or plugin adds a "Script" value to certain sound events in the registry: <characteristic type="HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\Keypress"> <parm name="Script" value="f0" datatype="string" /> </characteristic> <characteristic type="HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\Ringtone0"> <parm name="Script" value="av0f1pr" datatype="string" /> </characteristic> <characteristic type="HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\Clock"> <parm name="Script" value="av0pf1w999999f0" datatype="string" /> </characteristic> <characteristic type="HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\SMS"> <parm name="Script" value="av0pf1w999999f0" datatype="string" /> </characteristic> <characteristic type="HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\E-mail"> <parm name="Script" value="av0pf1w999999f0" datatype="string" /> </characteristic> <characteristic type="HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\Reminder"> <parm name="Script" value="av0pf1w999999f0" datatype="string" /> </characteristic> <characteristic type="HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\VoiceMail"> <parm name="Script" value="av0pf1w999999f0" datatype="string" /> My thoughts about it: -> The keypress value to reset the LED to it's normal state after a keypress; -> "av0f1pr" to the Ringtone; -> "av0pf1w999999f0" to the other events. I assume this value also adds the vibration to it that the Ringtone value doesn't have. Need to sleep now and work tomorrow so have some time to play around with it a bit more. I also like to control vibration from the profile options so let's see if the values can be changed a bit. Edited December 14, 2005 by roma0803
Guest Trivok Posted December 25, 2005 Report Posted December 25, 2005 Hello. I tried using this LED software on my Smart Amazing Phone w/ ROM version 1.8.13.2 recently, & it didn't work very well. The LED would flicker to a faster pace when I received an SMS, but then would NOT resume to normal when after I finished reading the SMS. When I turned the unit off, the LED still kept flickering!!! So I had to remove it from the phone, & the LED went back to normal status. Anyway, just a feedback, to try to help the author's software to fix some problems w/ some units & software versions like on mine.
Guest bManDK Posted January 18, 2006 Report Posted January 18, 2006 i installed this on my Qtek 8080 and it actually maded my LED blink slower and only green instead of both green and blue. This is actually were usefull for me because i sleep with my phone and the blue LED was ignoring me ;)
