HELP! synching problem HELP! plz

i dont kno wut i did but now when i connect my phone to my pc to synch, only my inbox will synch everything else (tasks,contacts,calendar) do not show up! how do i fix this. i dont want to have to punch in all my contacts on my phone! someone plz HELP ME!

Open activesync and click the tools menu on the top. Then click options and make sure all the things you want to sync are checked in the sync options.

thats the problem. when i do that there is no box for me to check the other items. only inbox is available to be checked

another problem now!

i jus uninstalled activesync and tried to install it again but now that isnt working either. i dl the install file off microsoft and when i open it, it jus extracts all the files but does nothing after that! someone help me

sounds like you dont even have outlook configured right... it happend to me when I tried to install active sync w/out outlook working. Back up your contacts and reinstall outlook, then try and install activesync again (make sure phone is unplugged during install).

but i had no problems with syncing everything until now. it was working fine 2 weeks ago until now when i got back from vacation.

but anyways

how can i back up my contacts in outlook before i reinstall?

Dunno what version you have, but in mine you open the file menu and click "archive". Then you just follow the directions and you can archive whatever you want from outlook.

BTW: reinstalling solves many problems that you can't explain... it's worth a try if nothing else seems to work
