Guest Pagemakers Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 (edited) Looking at my trusty selection of smartpphones in front of me: C500/C550/T-Mobile SDA and QTEK 8100 I have just discovered significant differences in the quality of downloaded images in IE. The C500/550 (same family) all display the images in IE perfectly without any image degradation or compression. The SDA/QTEK (same family) all display the images in IE slightly degraded/compressed. Maybe for speed or download but I think the images look awful. Is there a registry setting somewhere that dictates how much compressing the images downloaded in IE are subject to so I can change it back? Edited August 12, 2005 by Pagemakers
Guest Pagemakers Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 Just noticed that the compression only takes place using GPRS, not when using pass-through......Hmmm

Guest Pagemakers Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 Actually it's nothing to do with Sky. I've just being doing some tests here and using any smarthone on any website, the jpg images are greatly compressed when viewing in IE. Just happened in the last couple of days. Have any other Orange users noticed this.
