Have a C500 (great phone) which was upgraded to the latest rom as soon as it was available.

In the last week the battery life which used to last 4-5 days easy now dicharges almost completely overnight. (its either on charge or synced during the day)

There are no programs running in the background, bluetooth is not enabled and I cannot understand why it has dropped of so dramatically.

Incidentally the phone is very warm in the morning I presume from what ever is discharging the battery.

Any ideas as to the cause?

Do you think the battery is knackered if so can anyone recommend a cheap n cheerful supplier.

Many thanks

Are you sure there isn't a lot of GPRS traffic going on you don't know about (little 'g' near the battery indicator)?

GPRS eats batteries far more than Bluetooth. Check your used up Mb's via Orange World...

No nothing is going on but I do have a brief update.

I usually put the phone underneath my pillow so its easy to get to when the alarm goes. This is where the problem is occuring.

If I put it down the side of the bed then the battery doesnt discharge and battery life is back to where itnormally is.

Either the problem is somehow due to heat or my head is bigger than I thought and is pressing the buttons all night.

Either way I have found a solution.

Thanks for your input.
