Guest Arktouros Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 Hello, I ve got this silly wee problem that I am trying to solve. Whenever I connect my spv to the pc via BT then the pc becomes automatically a handsfree for my spv. This poses the problem that whenever i try to call someone i have to turn off the hands free via the menu wile the call is being made and the other person is waiting... not very funny for the person at the other end of the line... Is there a way to tell the voice gateway to shutdown and stay that way wile being connected via BT? I use BT a lot in order to sync my phone with the pc :?: and it is getting rather annoying... Hope that all this makes some sense... Cheers
Guest Confused Stu Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 If you go into the bluetooth section under settings, then on the Off/On/Discoverable screen, press Menu and select devices. Then select the computer and Edit. Press OK at the name and it should ask if you want to set this as a hands-free device. Just answer "no" and it should be fixed. If it doesn't give you the option, then you might need to delete the computer's pairing and re-set it up, this time with "no" to it being a hands-free device. This might cause an issue with Activesyncing over Bluetooth (maybe) so I'd suggest trying editing it first. Hope that helps mate. :)
Guest Arktouros Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 I had tried that option and it did not work... But I just had an idea  and tested it and it works. The solution lies in the pc. I just had to turn off the automatic start up of the "headset service" provided by the pc. Seemingly it works... Cheers all the same mate
