SPV E100 MP3 Ringtones

Hi peeps

I have an Orange SPV E100 and I love it to bits. It can do so much. But what I dont understand is why can it not allow mp3s to be ring tones when they can be played on the phone??? If anyone can help me with this I will be really greatful. I have been told that there is something I can do to the phone to make it select MP3s as ringtone, or I can install some sort of software to allow the phone to select MP3s as ringtones.
