Which car cradle?

Just got TomTom for my C500 and a incar charger, so now I'm looking for a cradle to hold my phone while I'm driving.

Theres a bunch of universal ones on ebay that look a bit tacky, but I'm not sure how well any of them work.

Has anyone got any experience? I need one that will still let me plug the charger in.

I got an in car holder for my C500 last week. I wanted something fairly small, and didnt really want to spend a fortune on it. I found a couple of universal ones, but they obviously hadn't been updated since the brick size phones of 8 years ago - the holders were massive! I looked on eBay, but again I wasnt sure on the size. As a last ditch effort, I gambled and bought a universal one from Argos here in the UK for £5.99. Pretty cheap, and as it turns out, it's a nice holder.

You can still charge when it's in the cradle, but you do need to adjust the phone slightly to get the cable in. Still holds nice and secure though. For the price, and for a universal holder, I doubt I'd have found a better one. Simply clips onto your air vent, so it's easy to put in, and stays fixed even when doing some 'creative' driving. Overall, I'm very happy with it.

I dont know if you're in the UK, but if you are, here's the link

my favourite is by "brodit"

They come as 2 seperate parts,

The vehicle specific mount - which on my car just "clicks" into place absolutely perfectly (no sticky pads or screws or damage).

Then you buy the phone holder that attaches to the mount - the phone holders are available as "passive" (just hold the phone) or "active" (includes power etc. for charging).

As you can see, it has been designed with a lot of thought as it does not obscure any buttons or the clock on the dashboard..

(I think i bought mine from handnav)
