C500 keypad - problems with voicemail.

I recently acquired a C500 on ebay (risky I know but it seems fine!).

However, I have a problem when using the voicemail system. When I press 'one' and hold I get through fine, but I find that I cannot use any of the keypad controls (replay, save, delete etc) because the keys don't transmit a tone. The only key that works with the voicemail (even though it doesn't transmit a tone) is 'one' which is used to start playback of the messages.

The phone is an unlocked Orange version, currently used with a Virgin Mobile SIM.

I have checked my settings and the keys are set to 'tone' rather than 'click', with system sounds set to 'on'. When manually dialling the keys do emit a tone, it's just when I'm connected to Virgin voicemail that they don't. Odd!

Are there any other settings I can check? Is the phone faulty?

If you can try an orange sim in there and see if the buttons work then - it may be a virgin voicemail problem
