cingular smt 5600

ok I like to think im a prety smart guy but I just got my Audiovox SMT5600 from cingular wireless. I can not get it to play mp3 ringtones. Is it just me or can this phone not do this! Is there some type of software, maybe an update, or hack that I need to do. In any case i need some help!!!!!

i couldn't set up an mp3 as a ringtone, but i converted it to wav and put it here:

Storage/Application Data/Sounds

and it worked.

thanks that works but it takes up alot of space my mp3 size was 88k after converting it 1094k.i guess if that is the only way to do it so be it !

Hi,

I use mp3 ringtones on my smt5600 only. I know it will work if you put the tones in the storage card.

Attached are the two ringers I use most often.

Just open up explorer, copy your any sound file you want and paste it this directory in your phone. \Storage\Application Data\Sounds

No need to convert it or anything. I have 3 full length MP3 songs that I use as ringers and it works fine. HTH
